ABOUT
WHO AM I ?
​
​I completed a master's degree in composition for visual arts (Musiques Appliquées aux Arts Visuels MAAAV) at Lyon 2 University. I started music at 12 years old, piano at 14, and cello at 20, in Calais' music academy.
It was a hobby at first, it quickly became a real passion, I studied psychology one year but it clearly came to my mind that I was made for something else. I got a Bachelor's degree of musicology at Lille 3 University, seeking to prepare for a music teacher career.
During this art degree, I approched several aspects of music such as composition, and I decided to take the chance in film composition.
With my experiences for short films, animated short films, videogames, dance and theatre, I have acquired skills in sound mixing, sound design, sound recording and sound editing, in addition of music composition, and I'm still exploring different music styles, always open-minded. I love challenges, so if you would like to offer to work on your project, please contact me.
INFLUENCES/INSPIRATION

I've got eclectics and changing tastes, depending on my mood, but some musicians really influenced my music aesthetic, and sometimes turned my life upside down.
​
Radiohead, Archive, Ghinzu, Björk, Sigur Ros, Coldplay, are references in rock/pop/electro/instrumental style, nowadays.
​
But for film composition, I admire a lot Clint Mansell (Requiem for a Dream, The Fountain, Moon, Black Swan), Hans Zimmer (Inception, Batman), and Howard Shore (The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit). I must name too Michael Nyman, Joe Hisaishi, Yann Tiersen, Gustavo Santaolalla, Olafur Arnalds, Max Richter.

I can't forget the great masters of classical music, such as Chopin, Schubert, Schumann, Liszt, Debussy, Wagner, Beethoven, Rachmaninov, Vivaldi, Purcell,...

VIDEOGAMES

I am a big fan of videogames, I grew up with games like Legend of Zelda, Mario, Goldeneye or Pokemon. I played some MMORPG, like T4C, Runes of Magic, and The Lord of the Rings Online. I think that videogames become more and more "artistic", now you can't say that they are just games, they share emotions, they are like a real film experience. The two "giants" of videogame composition are, to me, Koji Kondo and Nobuo Uematsu. In another style I'm also a big fan of Christophe Héral music. That's why I would gladly work for videogames, so feel free to contact me for a project.
